Many concrete and clay tiles in the UK suffer with unsightly moss and algae growth.

Moss, algae and lichens typically appear worse on the most north-facing side of your roof, this is because they thrive in damp, shaded areas. If left untreated, these moss invaders can potentially harm your roofing system.

Moss Covered Roof

- The freeze and thaw process of the moss can result in cracked & dislodged tiles.

- The weight of all that extra  moss on your roof can stress your roofing structure beneath the tiling.

- Moss will block your guttering and fail your roof drainage system which could potentially cause future problems in the eaves section of your roof.

- Most roofs with mortar systems for the ridges and gables will suffer early

deterioration from the moss attacking the cement works.

- When dislodged from your roof, moss can become a nuisance when scattered all over your patio/driveway.

- Your roof is a major part of your home and unsightly moss and algae growth can sometimes be an eyesore to look at

Roof Scraping

working from a scaffold platform, we use blades on the end of telescopic poles, perfectly matched to the the profile of your tile, to gently scrape away the moss. Cleaning roofs this way allows us to clean even the most delicate of roofs.

We can clean Concrete, Clay or even slate roofs this way.

Once 95% of Moss is removed from the roof, we can move onto the Softwash

Up to 5 years protection from regrowth of moss

Scraping does an excellent job of removing the majority of surface moss - but to remove all of the moss including the bits you cant see from the surface of the tile and to stop it re-colonizing your roof, we need to apply a biocide softwash. Once applied to your roof it will continue to work killing all moss, algae, mould and lichen from your tiles. Please note you will not see instant results - you can expect to see the full benefits anywhere from 3-9 months depending on weather cycles. Give us a call for more info.

We cover areas with tarpaulin & set up scaffold tower

Roof Scrape

We gently scrape 95% of moss from your roof.

This is the most time consuming phase - it looks easy but its hard work!

Clear Gutters & Tidy Up

We vacuum your gutters and bag up all moss ready to go in your garden waste bin or compost heap

Apply Biocide SoftWash

We then brush in the biocide treatment using a waterfed pole
